6th Central Surrey

Several of the Venturers are in arrears in their monthly dues. These must be cleared up at tomorrows wind up party. The following people need to see Scouter Drew; Marina, Bea, Ryan, Rachelle, Daniel Maurer, Morgan, Cameron, Max, Brittany, Donny, Kevin and Eric.

We have a new photo uploader (again).
This time it actually works (after some painful debugging...), which is pretty neato.

It doesn't look like much, but it is incredibly fast and i haven't run into any problems yet.
I just gave it 140 pictures from camp and they were compressed and uploaded in a manner of minutes.

Let me know if you run into errors...

Hey guys, I need someone to do shopping for the Rovers for the Year End Camp this upcoming weekend.

You will need to phone/text people to confirm their attendance and then buy the food. You will be reimbursed.

I expect everyone to show up to this camp as Iaan and I need a lot of help putting this on.

6th Central Surrey Scout Group held their Annual Group Camp on June 4-6, 2010 at Lightning Lake Group Campsite. The theme for this camp was "Caveman Camp". Friday it was rainy until the bus arrived. Then the rain held off until all participants were ready to leave on Sunday.
As requested at the closing of the camp, the Camp Chief, Scouter Bill, would like to hear Comments about the camp from the youth, leaders and parents. You can post your comments on this page.

On Wednesday June 9th we're holding our Year End Party at the Great Escape.
Drop off at 7pm, pick up at 8:30pm. Pizza and pop will be served, please wear a 6th Central t-shirt (if you have one) with your scarf.

This is our last Wednesday Cub meeting until the 3rd week of September

6th Central Scout Group will hold its Annual General Meeting with Swim Up, Leap Up, Boot Up Ceremony on Wednesday June 23rd at Hazelnut Meadow Park. All Cubs should be in full uniform including sash. Please bring a sharing snack, lug a mug and chair if you want to sit.

6th Central Surrey Caveman Group Camp - 2010 BC at Manning Park this past weekend was a great success!

Early Registration deadline is June 9th. Forms were handed out last week, more information in the 2010-2011 Registration News Post from May 29th (below).

Please continue to check the website occasionally over summer, especially during the last half of August as upcoming Events for September and October should be posted.

This Wednesday, June 2nd, is our last night in the gym.
Last chance for badge testing!

On June 9th we'll hold our Year End Party at the Great Escape in Langley.

6th Central Surrey Caveman Group Camp - 2010 BC will take place from June 4th to 6th at Manning Park.
Camp fees of $25.00 per person were due May 19th and there will be a bus going up at a cost of $15.00 per person, available on a first come, first serve basis. Deadline for payment was May 5th.
A revised Camp List is posted under Cubs Documents. I've added a couple of items, mainly because Manning Park can get very cold at night: Winter coat, gloves, winter boots and touque to sleep in. Also, no sharing snack is required for this camp.
