Rover Beginning of Year Message
Welcome all Rovers to the new year of Rovers!!! We're going to be quite busy and, as you may have noticed, the calendar is updated and ready until the Christmas break.
We voted on new positions this evening. The results are as follows:
President - Josh
Vice President - Kevin Preston
Secretary - Tiffany
Treasurer - Ejack
We will be going to PJ 11 this year and, as such, we need to begin planning ahead. We need a menu plan established rather soon, as well as an idea of what we'll be doing at the camp. We need you to commit to going or, at the very least, supporting us by helping to clean the camp and fundraise.
Furthermore, everyone is expected to volunteer at least once a month with one of our local sections. If you're incapable of doing so, you can come to one of the weekend council events or a colony/pack closer to your area (Tiffany, Kpres, Stacy, etc).

6th Central Surrey 2010-2011 Registration
Can you believe that it's almost September?
If you did not complete early registration for 2010-2011 and want to return this fall, please contact our Registrar, Sonya (more information in comments).
Cost for returning youth: $165, new youth: $175, sibling $150, third child in immediate family no charge.
Regular meetings will start the third week of September 2010
The youth/parent will be notified by phone the week before to confirm.
All 6th Central Surrey (RETURNING) BEAVERS, CUBS, SCOUTS and VENTURERS that will be going up to the next section with 6th Central Surrey, will receive their HANDBOOK once they start in September.
BEAVERS require: Hat & Vest
Badges, woggle and neckerchief will be given at Investiture.
CUBS require: Shirt & Badge Sash
Badges are to be removed from Beaver vest and sewn onto shirt.
Youth will receive a woggle & epaulettes once they are invested.
SCOUTS require: Shirt & Badge Sash
Youth will receive a woggle & epaulettes once they are invested.
VENTURERS require: Shirt
Youth will receive a woggle & epaulettes once they are invested.
Neckerchiefs can be traded in for a larger one or $10.00 to purchase new one.

Venturer Over Due Dues
Several of the Venturers are in arrears in their monthly dues. These must be cleared up at tomorrows wind up party. The following people need to see Scouter Drew; Marina, Bea, Ryan, Rachelle, Daniel Maurer, Morgan, Cameron, Max, Brittany, Donny, Kevin and Eric.

Photo Uploads
We have a new photo uploader (again).
This time it actually works (after some painful debugging...), which is pretty neato.
It doesn't look like much, but it is incredibly fast and i haven't run into any problems yet.
I just gave it 140 pictures from camp and they were compressed and uploaded in a manner of minutes.
Let me know if you run into errors...

also, you can now add captions again (by going to Edit Album on the main pictures page.)

Year End Camp
Hey guys, I need someone to do shopping for the Rovers for the Year End Camp this upcoming weekend.
You will need to phone/text people to confirm their attendance and then buy the food. You will be reimbursed.
I expect everyone to show up to this camp as Iaan and I need a lot of help putting this on.

2010 Group Camp
6th Central Surrey Scout Group held their Annual Group Camp on June 4-6, 2010 at Lightning Lake Group Campsite. The theme for this camp was "Caveman Camp". Friday it was rainy until the bus arrived. Then the rain held off until all participants were ready to leave on Sunday.
As requested at the closing of the camp, the Camp Chief, Scouter Bill, would like to hear Comments about the camp from the youth, leaders and parents. You can post your comments on this page.
